The lite version now can be upgraded to the full version from within the application with no additional downloads. You can also purchase fish scent and stronger line to improve your chances of landing a lunker!
Developer Notes:
-You can't keep fish that aren't considered sports fish, like perch or bluegills.
-If you take a photo be patient while the thumbnails are generated from your photo library.
- To people having trouble casting you're probably letting go of the line too early. Speed doesn't matter, just tilt back, then forward and release the line.
- To people having trouble using the controls to steer the boat, just tap where you want to go on the lake and use the autopilot mode.

Great fishing simulation! Best fishing game on the iPhone!
This is a full featured fishing sim, not a simple cast and reel arcade game. If you want a realistic fishing experience then this is your best (and only) choice. If you are a short attention span person who wants no challenge at all then look elsewhere. The people complaining about this game really are not looking for a fishing game at all.
The other games consist of cast, wait 10 seconds, reel, and land a fish. You will get a bite every time.. With iFishing you get to explore the lakes with your boat and fish finder and select your spot to fish, such as near docks, lilly pads and weeds, shallow or deep waters. This game actually takes a bit of strategy and effort, unlike the others. By the way, I caught my first fish in just a few minutes. Those who can't catch anything aren't reading the instructions.
The other games have you use a lure with a bobber! How dumb is that!? In iFishing, you cast and then slowly reel in your lure (depending on your type of lure or bait). You can adjust the angle of your rod to affect the depth and "jig" the line, and it also affects your line tension as you reel it in. Lure depth is also important...your fish finder will let you know how deep the fish are and even how many and what size they are.
One thing I like that others have complained about is the fact that you don't reel in your line by spinning a little handle on the touchscreen. That would get tiring after awhile, although at first it would be pretty cool.
Although the game doesn't have 3D rendered waves, it is still beautiful. The graphics are very underrated. The sounds are also very well done.
In iFishing, where and how you fish is entirely up to you. If you want a no brainer fishing game with pretty waves and not much else, look elsewhere ...if you want to FISH, then download this game!
I would like to see more fishes and lures, although maybe the full version has this. I also can't seem to cast more than 24 feet out. Looking forward to trying the full version :)

I really enjoyed this game! I've read some bad reviews where they said this game is impossible, well go read the instructions and you will learn how to fish in the game!! I've won 1st place in the tournament mode multiple times! I have the biggest fish trophy, 23Lb largemouth bass! I have $130,000 from prize money (you win 20,000/1st place, 10,000/2nd place), too bad it's the Lite version and I have no idea what I could do with this money.. Maybe I could test your new beta FULL version guys? :) haha but yes I really enjoy this game, and I'm good at it! I recommend it :)
