Does exactly what it says.
I've had this app for a bit now, through multiple versions on two different iPads (2 & 3). iA Writer does exactly what it says it does, in that it functions as a basic white paper, black text notepad. There are no frills, because it was designed specifically to be light weight and have no frills that would confuse a beginning user. So, if you're looking for something that is a heavy frills laden word processor this is not the app for you.
On the other hand, if you're wanting something that is light weight, easy to use and quick to access and jot notes, this is the perfect app.
While understanding that it is a no frills app, in the hope of writing a complete review, there is two features I would love to see in place. The first is your basic bold/italics/underline, I do not think that would add any complications for users as it's been around since before the Ben Franklin printing press. The second would a pat on the back for the people who wrote this app to begin with. Seriously, kudos.
sentence to sentence scrolling
A nicely made apps, but you will feel it slightly unusable if you are used to the Mac ver.
Please make it similar to the Mac version, where user can scroll from sentence to sentence instead of silly 3 lines darkening with 1 line increment.

And I would like to say, when you copy and past from this app to the email, it makes the text large, which is a little inconvenient.
