NFS is worth the wait!!!!
Hands down the best driving game on itunes. This is the fastest and best driving game I have ever played on any mobile platform. This blows away any driving game on the PSP or DS. The cars are incredible and the depth of gameplay is ridiculous. Best $ ever spent.
Best racing title for the iPod/iPhone yet!
After playing games such as Fastlane and Ferrari GT Evolution, I'd have to say this is the best racing game that the app store currently has to offer. Though I was not happy with the delay's that Electron Arts had, EA remains a solid app maker.
Visuals: All of the high end racing apps available all come into the same field of visual quality, but I like this one more than some others because of the classic NFS car custumization which makes your cars dynamic to your own personality.
Gameplay: You play the game by racing races, making money, customizing your car, and buying new rides. I like the story mode of the game but unfortunately it is the only mode of the game. Some users may want to just race any race but this is not possible at the start of the game. The video cutseens and ingame phone make it seem like you are really a part of the undercover action.
Fluidity: This is one of the key parts of the game that I believe sets it apart. When a cop comes into view, the camera zooms ahead for a split second to the cop while you still race, which is still easy to control and just adds intensity and excitement to the race. EA intigrated these little zooms perfectly. Also, in pausing a game, getting back into the race is simple, so I am no longer worried when recieving a text message, call, or pausing the game when my attention is needed elsewhere.
Price: This app is worth every cent! Though some say $10 is way to much for an app, I think different. New games on the PSP and Gameboy cost upwards of $40. $10 is a steal for games and those of us who have iPods and iPhones are lucky to have apps like this one.
By Far The Best Real Racing App On iTunes
This is by far the best racing game. The graphics, as many others have mentioned, are georgeous. The gameplay is very simple. unlike other racing apps, NFSU does not have a million buttons cluttering up the screen. nitro is engaged by an upward swipe, speedbreaker is by a downward swipe. Pause is a two fingered wipe downward. All of these actions can be done anywhere, anytime. This is one of my most used app on my ipod Touch.
**update** a lot easier to load up now that the game has been updated to fit the 3.0 software. No more need to reboot every time I want to play the game.
