Mixtikl is one of the deepest and most powerful generative music apps out there and it lets you create magical generative music mixes that you can interact with, add audio loops to and generally customize to your hearts content (e.g. modular synth sounds & live FX, generative rules and play along parts to 12 track arrangements, mix tempo & root and more). Compared to Mixtikl Free there are many, many more features/capabilities and much more included content to use in mixes.
Tip: Want to share your mixes? You can save your custom creations as "mixtikls" that, if you want to, you can tweet, email & share and they can even include your own short message / haiku / poem, visualizer settings and play-along instrument.

Powerful tool, loads of fun, great support!
I've been a longtime follower of the Mixtikl project but only recently purchased the app. It has blown me away with it's depth. Pretty much every aspect of the generative loops and sound can be modified and the ability to use your own loops in your projects means you'll never run out of sounds or ideas. I plan on using this extensively on my next album project. It's also accessible enough that with the visualizer tool, kids have a blast playing melodies along with the loops in the background. Or if you want, just pop on some headphones, hit play, and mellow out to the evolving soundscapes. The manual is well written and gives you an overview of all the features. On top of that, support (through the Intermorphic website and forum) is responsive and issues are addressed personally and immediately. I can't recommend this enough for anyone who loves creating new sounds, wants to introduce their kids to electronic music creation, or who just wants to enjoy what's there. I will be picking up the PC version soon!
