Get the official App of Luck of the Draw! Luck of the Draw started in 1994 with nothing more than a dream to write songs, play them live and get free beer for it. After Years of playing live and many tours they have expanded their dreams of just getting free beer. Over the past several years they have recorded and released several CD’s, 7”ep’s and have been featured on numerous compilations, also LOTD has toured locally, regionally, and nationally playing an average of 100-150 shows a year. LOTD has had the honor to play with and tour with many of their heroes, like The Gears, Reverend Horton Heat, Tiger Army, Hank III, Los Infernos, Dick Dale, Demented Are Go, and Loverboy just to name a few (only joking about the Loverboy...) In late 2010 the LOTD boys joined forces with, and signed a deal with Real Punk Radio the Label, and shortly there after “White Knuckles to the Wheel… Foot to the Floor” was released. “White Knuckles” is by far the recording the band is most proud of, with the help of engineer/producer Michael Parnin in the famous blAcksound studio in Pasadena California… in just four long days the record was complete. All due to the fact of Michael’s incredible background of working with such great bands that run the gamut from Rage Against the Machine, Danzig, Joe Strummer and Steve Stevens (of the Billy Idol Band) to Busta Rhymes, The Wailing Souls and Tupac, to even the more mainstream acts like Rod Stewart, Ricky Martin and Barbara Streisand.
As 2010 came to a close the band was hard at work promoting and supporting the new release, there will be full tours in the near future as well as “weekend trips” to help get the music to the fans. Luck of the Draw looks forward to new opportunities in 2011 that will include returning to blAcksound for more recording as well as more appearances on a few compilations in the works. LOTD has the van packed and are ready to hit 2011 with full force; it will be a good year for all involved no doubt.
