MPC KILLER
Pros: Beautiful GUI, MPC style tap rhythym programming, grid style rhythym programming. 16 sounds per pattern, 16 patterns per sequence. Simple point and drag patterns into a sequence with the tight and intuitive 16 bar cubic looper sequencer. Slick looking Pan and volume fader. @ $5.00 this app is a steal.
Cons: Can not import/export midi or audio data from patterns or sequences, no (CLEAR) button for sounds in patterns or patterns in sequences.
Believe it or not this app is an Akai MPC 500 and 1000 killer. 5star app with 3star app capabilities =(
iZotope add import/export for midi/audio data and iDrum will become the MPC for a whole new Generation. =)
AWESOME!! Buy This Before BEATMAKER!
This app is very user friendly and addictive. I wish i had bought this app before i purchased
BeatMaker. Beatmaker is a more "serious" app and very capable, but if you just want to tap out
beats/tracks quickly and intuitively BUY THIS NOW! It can only get even better!!!
I spent an hour editing some LINN DRUM LM-2 Samples I had and downloaded the BeatMaker desktop
app to make a kit to upload to the BeatMaker iPhone/iTouch app only to find it would not upload.
Arrrrrgghh!

I was pleased to find a somewhat LINN like kit in iDrum Hip-Hop--it even has that classic
Prince sidestick sample. I can get a lot of use out of this app practing guitar solos!!
Why only four stars?... The samples aren't tuneable. :-(
But each sample's individual hit, or, instance volume is adjustable to get for example
a more human like hi-hat groove.

Pretty Cool . . .for the most part . . .
I didn't regret with having parted with $5 for this application. It's a very cool and easy to use beatmaker. Within 20 minutes or so, I was making some nice beats and using them to solo over with my guitar. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because it lacks the ability to completely clear a beat instance and to start with a fresh instance. The developer insists that you start with one of the built in or previously saved sessions and mod from there. While good for learning the app, that's a little frustrating for getting up and running fast to get an idea out of your head. I like to see what the next update brings, but awesome job overall.
