Usage Hints:
* Drag with 1 finger to move the view over the image.
* Use pinch and zoom to change the image size.
* A light touch works best.
* Double-tap in center to hide the status and toolbars, double-tap again to show them again.
* Help is automatically shown when the application is first run. Click the small round information button to show help when using the program.
* Use the animate mode to search for interesting areas of the image. Tap the dotted arrow button to start animation mode. Tap anywhere within the kaleidoscope image to stop the animation and return to normal mode.
As with all iPhone apps, it is best to restart your iPhone after installing iKalied.

Possibly the only Cult PhotoApp.
It's strange to me that there isn't more buzz about the app. The amount of time that went into developing the effects alone must have been ridiculous. Other kaleidoscope applications seem to destroy the quality of the image, making them less useful for people who want to show off their artwork. iKalied not only doesn't appear to do this, but it also allows you to apply some really great special effects! I'd pay .99 for the "Take-On-Me"-like Colored Pencil effect by itself!
Just keeps getting better
iKalied is still one of my favorite apps, and one of the few I play with on a regular basis. The developer pushes free updates regularly, and they almost always contain new features - because the app is stable and doesn't need bug fixes! The new animation feature is something I particularly like - it is fast enough to be entertaining, and slow enough to allow me to capture views that I want to save (I'll note that although some reviewers have compared iKalied to Mandala, these are different apps with different purposes, so read the descriptions to see which best matches what you're looking for). The list of special effects you can add to your images keeps growing, although personally, I find that the symmetry modes alone provide endless possibilities. The developer is amiable, and very open to suggestions. More examples of images are available in the iKalied Flickr group - I hope more people contribute to that pool.

If you want a good quality Kaleidoscope App, get Mandala!
