A very clever and addicting memory game

I'm always hesitant to download iPhone games because I know if they're any good they'll take up gobs of my time, but here's one that actually makes it seem like I'm not wasting my time so much. This little memory game, which flashes images and sounds and has you try to remember when and where you heard them by "buzzing" in, is very simple but quite engaging. Kinda like Sudoku in that I can feel my brain working while I play. Will it actually make me smarter as the research study in the info box says? *shrug* But it's definitely a fun way to kill time and hey, it's always good to be able to make the excuse that you're doing something productive. :D

Overpriced & Underdeveloped

The effusive reviews above and below must have been written by the developer's colleagues or classmates. This app may help improve performance on IQ tests, but it certainly shouldn't require that we do research on how to use it before purchasing it. The tutorial that comes with this app is unintelligible. It's infuriating to spend $6 on an app that doesn't cogently explain how it is to be played. It's of course possible to figure out, but purchasing this simple app at this high price made me feel exploited. The tutorial needs to be improved and the price needs to be lowered. This should be a .99 cent or 1.99 cent app. I graduated phi beta kappa from Princeton and I caution potential purchasers not to buy this until the developers can devise a tutorial that makes sense, and until the price better reflects its actual value.

Near perfection

It's rare to see such a well designed app. This is a solid implementation of the n-back test and it performs its function well. I'd like to see my session score at the end of each session, but that's a quibble. I can see it on the progress chart but it's not very precise.
