Macworld
I stopped buy their booth at macworld to let them know how much I loved isale 5 for my mac. They informed me of isale for iPhone, so I downloaded it.
I just now got a chance to play with it sitting here at the airport. At first glance this app is very easy to use but lacks a lot of features like eBay account integration. It would be nice to track isale auctions on the go. I know eBay has it's own app but it would be nice not to have to keep switching back and forth. It would also help to have an eBay search built in to compare prices of similar items that I am listing.
However since I am at the airport I am listening to music on my iphone and using this app at the same time. I setup a test auction draft and the app crashed several times when adding or taking pictures and when setting preferences. I will hard reset my iPhone to see if the problem corrects itself.
Great App!
Stop whining. The app syncs perfectly, and is very easy to use. Stop blaming the app for your inability to read the directions. How about adding the ability to get the status of auctions that are being managed by the desktop application?
Doesn't Send Drafts - Can't Find Support Info
I've been happily using iSale for six months on my mac, and it's done a very good job. I understood when I downloaded it that it would only send drafts to iSale on my computer, and that was fine with me. I figured for security reasons it was probably inadvisable or perhaps impossible to list auctions direct to Ebay from my phone. I had it on my phone and I had opened it but never created new drafts on it until today. I was disappointed to discover that it doesn't send the drafts I create to my computer. The description says to send them using WiFi, so I got my iPhone connected to a new connection I created on my Mac Mini for just this purpose, but the blue button that says "Send All to iSale" simply does nothing. I checked the Equinux website for a guide or FAQ or tips on the app and there isn't anything there. I checked iSale preferences and there IS a new tab there for iSale Mobile, and it does have a checkbox to say "This iSale accepts iSale Mobile auctions" so if course I checked that and tried again. No response. I looked for a way to contact support, but they're available on the phone only Tuesdays. Tuesdays? Really? Yes only Tuesdays from 12:30 am to 12 pm. SO I filled out a support form. I like iSale, and I like the idea of this app (which is why it got two stars). I hope they make it work.
