iSSH is effectively several clients in one. You get ssh/telnet/raw connections along with X11 and VNC tunneling. All along side multiple, simultaneous connections with more complete terminal compatibility, more keys and a more iPhone consistent UI than any other other iPhone/iPod Touch SSH client.

* If you have issues with the bluetooth or dock keyboard, please see the forum first before posting a review here. Developers cannot respond directly to reviews posted to the App Store.

Customer Reviews

For SSH purposes

This app is great! I've used TouchTerm before and was pretty happy with the on screen macros and such, but lacking an iPad version I decided to check this out. The ability to customize the layout is great, the interfaces for key commands are nice (there are two of them, depending on your needs), but the feature that blew the other ssh apps out of the water was how easy it was to have multiple sessions running simultaneously. I plan on using this primarily for my iPad, but once the iPad gets multitasking to support that feature of this app I'm running out of reasons why I HAVE to have my laptop around if working remotely.

This has very little to do with this app, but for those of you who are looking for something to do some editing with emacs, make sure you force no gui mode with -nw or else you will get errors about not being able to convert fonts.

I got this so I could leave my work computer at home for a trip to Hawaii but still have something around for emergencies, so I might have an addendum after I return, but looks promising!

Almost perfect ...

... but please please please find a solution to the Bluetooth arrow/control/etc keys problem! It's so frustrating to constantly have to move your fingers from the keyboard to the iPad and back to do basic stuff. They work for turbosh, is iSSH that much different?

Works as advertised

I was able to get SSH up and running quickly. The Pie key worked great to add additional keys working. The Developer was very helpful and responsive to my questions and helped me get the function keys working above F10. It is great to have remote access anywhere with the iPad, no more lugging a laptop around. Keep adding features Dean, we welcome them.
