Finally! iDisk Support
One problem! When I add an FTP account the program crashes constantly....... However, I can finally access my iDisk! Thank You!!! Get that FTP problem fixed and you'll have a very popular program.
Very good already, probability of excellent with updates
This review is for iStorage version 1.1.3.3.
I've been looking for a file transfer/viewer app for a while, and iStorage come very close to matching all of my key requirements. I wanted an app that (1) made it easy to transfer files back and forth between computer and iPhone; (2) Made it easy to read documents on the iPhone; and (3) allowed at least limited editing on the iPhone. iStorage meets all of these key requirements better than other apps I've tried. On top of that iStorage provides a number of functions I didn't know I wanted until I tried them out.
Transfer to and from my computer can be done several ways: Mounting the iPhone as a webDAV drive, or FTP from the iPhone to the computer. These worked perfectly first try, providing rapid, effortless transfers. iStorage also allows FTP to any server, as well as downloads from web sites (http and I think https, using iStorage's built-in and very nice web browser); I didn't have those on my minimal requirement list but they're very useful and much appreciated. FTP and http downloads also worked perfectly first try.
As a viewer, iStorage is also very good. It handles the usual suspects (tiff, pdf, doc/x, xls/x, txt, ppt/x, txt, and so on) smoothly and quickly. It also allows editing (new or existing) text files, and that works very nicely as well. Another touch I hadn't thought I needed is that you can write a text file -- using the autocorrect, with a keyboard in landscape or portrait view -- and then simply turn it into an email ("Use text as new mail"). This alone is a killer feature if you want to write a long letter in bits and pieces, and especially if you want a landscape keyboard to write your email (I don't think the regular mail app will allow that).
There are all kinds of nice little options I'll skip over. In general, using iStorage is simple, easy, and pleasant. It's a really well thought-out app.
It's not perfect yet, though most of my comments are fairly minor and will probably be fixed in updates. There are some small interface puzzles and hiccups, where for example the author seems to have used an icon that almost, but not quite, indicates what it's for. For example, the little blue arrow icon that usually indicates "More information/settings" in some cases is used as the "Download now" button. The Help is pretty minimalistic, and English is clearly not the author's first language. (Note that almost everything is well designed so that you don't need to get a lot of support.) There are a couple of features that either I haven't figured out, or that don't work properly (How does one Bookmark a File?). Though iStorage seems pretty stable, in a few days testing I did find one pdf file that consistently crashed the app on opening. iStorage doesn't seem to understand Mac files perfectly, and often seems to transfer files in two parts (a resource fork and the data fork?) I hear that the web browser has occasional problems with some web sites, though I haven't seen that myself in limited exploration. The method of using bookmarks is a little clumsy and probably won't scale well past a small handful of bookmarks.
But overall this is a very, very good app, that not only delivers what it promises but provides a host of extra features on top. There have been a half-dozen upgrades already, showing that the author is responsive to problems and requests, so I have no doubt that most of my little concerns will soon be addressed. Highly recommended.

Too bad looks like a great app but it slams shut whenever it tries to connect to Idisk.
