Great idea, so-so execution, and lame support
I am a Dropbox customer and love it, but I went looking for other solutions after I heard about the privacy issues, plus I'm not crazy about their cell-phone-ish type data plan. Found Jungledisk, gave it a try. FYI I am a power user for PC and iOS.
The IDEA is great; a) you only pay for the space you actually use, b) you can have both a sync folder (constantly syncs just like Dropbox) plus a backup folder (backs up at specified intervals). If Dropbox offered this, game over folks.
The EXECUTION is so-so; the interface is a little nerdy and sometimes I see error messages during backups, have no idea what they mean, so it doesn't give me a lot of confidence (and isn't that the whole point?). That forced me to do a lot of testing. The iPad app is severely lacking. No way to "open in" other apps. About all you can do is view (some file types, not all) or email.
The SUPPORT was my biggest gripe, and that ultimately caused me to cancel. In spite of all their warnings, yeah I forgot the password for the online disk (I admit I have too many passwords in my head). I knew from the warning there was no way to recover, so I moved all my files out then went looking for what to do next. Incredibly, there is no mention of this scenario anywhere on their site. Even a simple search for "forgot password" yields zip. So, I emailed support. Their answer was, "don't forget the password." No elaboration, no next steps. I suspect the support staff is in a third world country, some place that does not encourage thinking.
Dropbox gets it. Jungle disk gives me no confidence, which is so odd because isn't that the whole point of a cloud backup system, to make the customer feel his data is safe and easy to retrieve?
Two stars vs. one, only because if I hadn't forgotten the password, I'd still be using it, albeit a trifle uneasily.

I've been waiting for your iPad version, but apparently it not here yet. The password screen comes up, but after entering the PW and hitting send, the app just crashes (closes with no messages). I guess I'll wait for your next update.
