The GRE Vocabulary application is designed as a learning tool and mobile reference. The application works in two modes; Flashcards and Reference.
Flashcards mode includes the ability to:
- Manage your progress through three levels of difficulty: challenging, advanced, and most difficult or study all terms simultaneously
- Study a category or take a quiz to test your knowledge -- you decide
- Try multiple choice to match one of four definitions to the appropriate word
- Reverse the question & answer side of the flashcard to match the definition to the word
- Test a higher level of comprehension by matching one of four synonyms to the appropriate word
- Auto-shuffle your missed cards with a few you scored correctly to allow for focused study
- Hide or show the score panel to track your progress and hone your study goals
- 5 star performance scoring for quizzes helps you to track your improvement
- Set the font size you prefer to make it easier on the eyes
Reference mode includes the ability to:
- Search for a specific word or scroll alphabetically through the words and quickly jump to a letter with an A-to-Z side panel
- Easy text scrolling makes learning complex information more manageable
- Try Landscape view if you prefer -- just turn your device sideways

It would be great if...
The GRE tests antonyms not synonyms Knowing the synonyms are great but this app would be 5 stars if you could also add the antonyms of each word!!! Also, it would be great if you could tap on the synonyms or Antonyms and get the defeniton of those words too
If you add those perks this app would 100% worth it
Missing Crucial Feature
The word set is good and challenging enough to be fun for a M.Sc. and a J.D. to volley back and forth on a long car ride. That said, we both found ourselves wondering why anyone would take the time to design an app like this and leave out the ability to create a set of words to come back to. Were I to do it over and buy a vocab program again, I'd look for a different app that had that feature. Overall, the app works, but I would imagine that there are better ones in the app store.
Love the app
It's great but it would be better if I didn't have to move my thumb around when flipping a card and moving to the "right" or "wrong" signs. I know it makes me sound whiny and lazy, but I dunno... perhaps the thumb movement is un-ergonomic or something. When I'm lying in bed lazily going through the vocab, I really wish I could just keep clicking through with my thumb at the same position or maybe moving only just a tiny bit! Maybe the clicking should be done side-by-side rather than having to curl my thumb awkwardly every time! Other than that it's a great application! A good list, with synonyms and usage provided. I find it gets a bit tedious after a while though, especially for someone like me who's easily distracted. I wish some fun could be injected into it somehow so I didn't feel like I was laboring away! Definitely recommend the app, overall!
