Introducing kids to new food can sometimes be a chore. KIDS FOOD ADVENTURE was born of the desire to make it fun! Photos and fun facts will help kids connect with all-natural foods and discover health benefits to eating well. This adventure is packed with an array of flavors and textures, designed to challenge little taste buds. All major foods groups are represented.
KIDS FOOD ADVENTURE is for kids and parents to use together, but also gives kids the freedom to explore foods more independently and helps them to make decisions and express opinions about what they are learning and tasting.

✭ Adventure Stickers
Kids will love collecting cool stickers as a reward for trying new foods. Each sticker challenges kids to try a combination of different foods. Once earned, kids can customize their travel trunk.
✭ Rating Stars
“You don’t have to like it, but give it a try.” Sound familiar? Kids will enjoy rating the food they’ve tried with the color coded ratings: Yummy (green), Yucky (red), So-So (yellow). They can track their progress and ratings in Scores. If they change their mind, they can also change the rating at any time.
✭ Monthly Suggestions
Explore new foods with monthly recommendations, some of which are seasonal. Parents, you may find that the monthly foods help spice up your monthly shopping and make cooking and mealtime a small adventure in good nutrition for the whole family.`

NOTES
✭ Food Allergies / Special Diets
If your child has food allergies, aversions or is on a special diet, they can still join in the fun of learning. Feel free to give your child credit for learning about the foods they can’t taste, by allowing them to rate foods and earn stars and stickers. There are gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan-friendly foods included in this adventure.

Great for classroom use
I bought this to use for my nutrition unit in first grade. I like how it shows a bunch of foods that few have heard of and makes a game out of trying new wholesome foods. They can see who is the most adventurous eater and learn about the foods too. They also really enjoyed picking an avatar. It is also not too easy or "babyish" for older kids. I recommend. Well worth the money.
Could be 5 stars
This app has great potential. As the mother of a child with autism and sensory processing disorder, we struggle with getting our 5 year old to eat anything more diverse than a peanut butter sandwich in a given day. He was very excited about this app and the potential to earn all the stickers. He liked the control of reading about the foods and choosing which ones he would consider trying and purchasing at the store.
The app fails when it limits us to the foods chosen by the authors. The food choices included are odd. I can live with my son never choosing to eat Gorgonzola cheese or rack of lamb; I would be happy if he would try string cheese and a piece of broiled chicken breast.
If this app had the capacity to add our own food goals (pictures and descriptions) it would be worth 5 stars + and I would recommend it to every person we know dealing with food sensitivity and feeding issues.
