Really disappointing - BUT GREAT DEVELOPER

UPDATE - check out Woman Calendar in the App Store. It's far more useful than this program. Can't believe I spent $15 on this. Total waste of money.
*******
I downloaded this, thinking I'd be getting something similar to the program I've been using on my Nokia smartphone (Woman for Symbian). Unless I'm missing something, there's nothing to tell me when my next period will start! That's really all I was looking for and assumed (wrongly, I guess) that this very basic feature would be included. I'm waiting to hear from the developer, but here's three things that would make this app worthwhile - first, make a simple "yes/no" checkbox to indicate whether a day is the first day of your period; second, make a customizable field to designate how many days your period normally lasts (thus, eliminating the need to enter every single day of your period); and third (and most importantly), a calendar view to show your history and predict future periods.

Save your money - I wish I did.

UPDATE - I heard back from the developer, who told me that he was working on the next version, which would include some of the features I'm looking for, specifically the calendar view. I'm revising my review from one to two stars, solely for the developer's responsiveness. Here's hoping the new version is out soon!

HORRIBLE!! SUCH a waste of money!!! SO Disappointed!!!

I was so excited about this app! I have tried 2x to put in my information from January until this month (August). Each time, when I exit out and go back, all of the info (that took forever to enter b/c this app is horrible) was saved as one random day in April 2007. AND, there wasn't even anything saved for that day!!!
I was a little disappointed at first as to the way they have it set up. But, was hoping just being able to track all of my cycle information would be worth it. Now I'm finding I can't even to that!
Other frustrations:
*When you open the app it's this HUGE picture of this random woman and at the bottom of the screen are the 4 small icons to work with....???....I wanted this app for the information and the way it can be organized...I'm ok with the icon (don't love it though) but COME ON with the home page!!
*There is no way to customize the reports. Under settings you can turn off/on the pre-programmed enty items but can't reorder them OR make your own type of entries...AGAIN I say this app was $15!!!! Such a waste.
*It doesn't allow you to rearrange the information to the order of which you most use it. Something even the most simplistic (& FREE) apps are doing.
*The journal view is just a day and date...no icons for a quick view of when your last cycle was or etc...
*The reports view only allows you to view the information for one TYPE of enty...ex: cramps OR Period OR...etc... how can you see trends by only looking at one thing at a time????
*Any numbers entered are only whole numbers (ex: no 130.5 lbs for weight) and, most frustrating, you have to use a slider. There is no keyboard option. And the slider is very simple and is a tiny little circle that you slide horizontally. VERY difficult for large numbers like weight, to get that tiny lil' circle to the exact number.
In conclusion...SOO super disappointed. I want my money back.

Quite good, responsive developer

I emailed the developer with some questions, and he was very quick to respond, which made me willing to take the $15 plunge.

My first take on this app is that it's great. I do wish that each new entry would start out displaying the top of the page, for some reason it displays the very bottom of the page. Same with the entries options page... starts out displaying the end of the list. --- Wait, I was wrong. It displays the last position that you scrolled to. My bad!!

My initial suggestion might be to add two more categories, migraine and breakouts, because these commonly relate to a woman's cycle. (These can go in the notes field, for now.) Also it would be nice to be able to rearrange the entry items to go in the order the user prefers, instead of just alphabetically.

But I LOVE that you can turn off the categories that you don't need. Fantastic idea. I like the icons and graphical representation of how heavy/light your perod is. So far, so good!
