What's New in Version 1.1
New functions that you've been asking for:
"Visible Wind" setting
-See the wind as it passes over the leaves. Subtly rendered breezes gently roll across the screen.
"Continuous Wind" setting
-Set a wind direction with a swipe on the screen, and the wind will continue to blow in that direction. Tap the screen once to stop the wind and let the leaves settle.
"Blow the Leaves" setting
-With this setting activated, you really are the wind! Blow into the microphone and start the wind moving. Works with the iPhone built-in mic or headset, and iPod Touch with headset attached. Note that when this function is active, music playing from the iPod is stopped, and the background sounds do not respond to the iPhone "Mute" switch.

Simply Beautiful
I love the new update! There is a lot subtlety and attention to detail in this app. The gentle arcing of the wind across the screen (in the visible setting), the slight swaying of the branch, and yes, the variation in the leaves. The leaves are NOT all identical, contrary to what some may have said.
This app is just plain peaceful!
And, I love the dreamlike quality of the animation. If that's what the devs were going for, they got it right. Nothing but kudos from me.
2 bucks blown away...
I feel like an idiot for spending $1.99 on this app. While initially it's a clever idea, the current product just doesn't hold up. In hindsight I should have recognized this looking at the pics, but after reading claims of good graphics I envisioned real 3D movement. Rather, this only shows flat, 2D leaf images rotating on one axis while traveling across the screen. The beauty is lost of a real leaf flipping through a gentle breeze. Plus, each leaf of the same type is identical. Then there's sound: the breeze sounds to me like noise dominating the birds twittering in the distance (I'll update this if I can find a way to regulate the two). The audio is of great importance, as with similar apps I often view the graphics for only a minute or so, then drift off or focus on something else while listening to the sounds from the app.
In a nutshell, I love the idea, but it needs real 3D graphics to succeed. I envision the view angle changing with the position of the gizmo, to see the flat ground (like in the current version) or the standing trees. Even if the focal point remains fixed, the leaves should vary in size & shape, some wrinkled, and flip as they fly. Maybe even have a small bird dart across the screen, rustling up some leaves on the way. This would, of course, be more work to develope, but we've all seen more complex graphics accomplished, and most importantly it would make the app worth the 2, maybe even 3 bucks. Besides, any CADD geek such as myself knows it would be fun to develope! ...hmmmm...
Favorite App
This has quickly become one of my all time most favorite apps for relaxation. I really like just leaving it so that I can listen to the sounds, wonderfully relaxing during a stressful day. Thank you developers!
