No audio
I was so excited about this for my iPad. Setup is easy and it runs smoothly, however it has a serious problem, there is no audio! Well, there is audio if you 1) are running Windows XP and 2) pay an additional $70 per year for the Pro desktop client. I thought this was the solution to flash, but have fun watching your silent tv shows. I don't think audio from my Mac is too much to ask if I shell out $30. I would gladly change my rating if logmein fixes this.
Impressed and disappointed
I bought the app (business expense) and I'm impressed and disappointed at the same time.
I was able to connect to a Windows PC running at 1024x768 with no problem. The speed over Wifi was excellent and entirely usable, and the interface is well-done.
Then I tried to connect to a Mac running at 1680x1050. After connecting, it started to draw the screen, but then the app told me that there was not enough memory and promptly crashed.
Not worth $30 in my opinion until they fix that. That is a bug they should have absolutely have foreseen before releasing the app.
New version breaks usability with Mac OSX
UPDATE:
=======
I have contacted LogMeIn Tech Support, but they gave me a canned response and looks like they will NOT fix the issue mentioned below. Mac owner, beware....
I have been using LogmeIn with my iPhone long before iPad is out. The new version of LogmeIn, which works with both iPad and iPhone, broke many things that previously work with Mac OSX.
For example:
- Mac "Option" button is no longer available. This button is like the "Windows" key, without it OSX cannot be controlled properly.
- 2 fingers scrolling no longer works
Please fix it.
