Disappointed
I purchased the Italy version and I am not impressed. The clarity of of the screen using the 2x is not acceptable. The maps do not compare with what you get for Google Maps for free. When you try to expand the maps Rome for example the labeling leaves a lot to be desired.
I have been very happy with printed versions of Lonely Planet and expected similar content.
My advice do not waste $9.99 stay with the print version. You get what you pay for.
Version 4.1 ERASES existing content
The update says "Check out our new country guides!" and says nothing about it erasing whatever was in the app already.
After reading the update notes, I went ahead and upgraded and everything is gone. The only option is to download free "lite" guides to cities I already have.
There is a 'Store' button that includes a "Restore All" button. It has been "Loading..." with spinning icon for several minutes while I am connected to wi-fi.
As far as I am concerned this update is broken and I have submitted a report to the Lonely Planet website.

I really like the city guides. Easy to use and helpful.
I tried the Czech phrase book. The native speaker spoke so fast it was impossible to comprehend.
