Now beautifully redrawn for the iPad, their adventures are accompanied by copious footnotes and hundreds of real-life historical documents and illustrations.
The app includes the FREE "Lovelace: The Origin", a graphical biography of Ada, Countess of Lovelace, daughter of notorious poet Lord Byron, and computer programmer before there *were* any computers. With extensive footnotes, and some very special historical objects included!

Fantastic!
I already knew I liked Lovelace and Babbage's adventures, so this was a no-brainer download.
But I was hugely surprised and delighted by the presentation. The split-screen notes about the primary sources for this comic are the best reading experience I've had yet on the iPad, both from a content and interface perspective. It's clear some real love and polish went into this app. I even showed my wife this app, as an example of "how it is done".
If you haven't read the adventures of Lovelace and Babbage, you're in for a huge treat. But even if you have, this is a great way to read them. This will have a permanent spot on my iPad.
Free? Not quite
A lovely idea, but be prepared to be nickel and dimed for the next chapter.
I'm deleting my copy.
I'd probably have bought it and loved it if the full price were up front, but I am totally offended by the approach and that I have no idea what the final price will be.
One of the great stories that needs to be told, but not a nickel and a dime at a time.

As a math/compsci major, this is right up my alley. This app is WIZARD! The footnotes make it extremely worthwhile.
