What went so horribly wrong?!
My hands down very favorite — most played ever — app for the iPhone has been CRIPPLED and RENDERED USELESS with the 2.0 update for iPhone 4. It's 2.1 counterpart actually seems worse. Not only is play drawn to an excruciating halt, regardless of the opponent's difficulty level, its like the touchscreen and I have befell the Tower of Babel and are now speaking different languages. It's in a word UNRESPONSIVE and I've had this issue with no other app. Very frustrating! Very disheartening! I've gone from playing every single map with almost every single variable (version 1.0) to not being able to play this game whatsoever (version 2.0 & 2.1). It's like watching a loved one suffer. Here's hoping you get well soon.
Love this game - it doesn't like new iPhone
My favorite time waster on the iPhone became unusable on iPhone 4. Way too laggy.
Update 7/28: don't install latest update. Seems like the fixes they made to improve performance are gone. Still way too slow. Disappointing
Worst... update.... ever....
Like many other reviews, this game WAS my favorite, and I played daily. When I switched to the iPhone 4, there were some glitches with this app, pre-update, and I waited SOOOO patiently for an iPhone 4 tested fix. Instead, I got this step backwards. Blurry maps, can't zoom in far enough to see borders on some maps, and the gameplay is frustrating it's so slow. It sometimes feels like my touchscreen is broken, as I wait for the game to keep up with me. Developers, if you're reading this, can we revert to the old version somehow??? I want my money back.
Update 7/27 - just did a clean install of today's new update with fingers crossed. WORSE THAN EVER! Really? Do you guys even test before releasing this schlock?? How hard can it be? Can we get v1.0 back please?
