A little disappointed
I don't know why they pushed out such a buggy app. It's slow and laggy. Lux touch is so much faster. I can't wait for them to fix everything... I almost want to download the free version again just because it works better. If you've been alright waiting this long, wait a little longer!
Lots of potential but not there yet
I was eagerly awaiting Lux Deluxe, but unfortunately it seems rife with bugs and missing features:
1. After resuming a saved game, you can no longer actually play (armies can't be placed)
2. The multitouch interface is missing common gestures, such as double-tap to zoom/unzoom
3. You can't exit a game (to the main screen) without relaunching the application
4. You can't save any games 'in progress' except the main one you're plaing
5. Does not track any statistics of any kind
6. Help is virtually non-existent. Since I haven't played Risk in years, I was at a bit of a loss until I red an article on Wikipedia. The app should offer more guidance
7. No multiplayer other than pass-around
Lux Touch could be great as it has a lot of potential, but it's missing a lot of polish at this point. I'd recommend waiting for an update.
Extreme lag time, very unresponsive - it's a real shame
I've been playing the free version for a while - it's fun, but not terribly diverse or hard. I have the Mac desktop version, and it's great; more options than I know what to do with, and plays fast. I was hoping for the best of both worlds with Lux DLX, but it was not to be. I'm using version 1.1.1, and I'm sorry, but it's nearly completely unplayable. The lag time between your moves is incredibly slow, and the touch screen responds like it's sleeping on the job. If Sillysoft could fix these issues, they've have a fantastic game on their hands. It's certainly not worth the current asking price - enjoy the free version for now and wait for this one to improve before buying.
