DO NOT UPDATE!!!
The latest update takes away your ability to watch the previews. If you don't have an account, you can't even peruse before you purchase a subscription.
Please fix the video caching
Watching videos on this app is mostly frustrating, particularly due to the way it handles caching. You never know when a video will stop caching midway through. And when caching stops, there isn't a way to get it started again. Your only option is to exit the video, start all over again, and hope that this time the app will allow you to view it in full. It seems to happen more frequently if you pause a video before it's finished caching, which is pretty unacceptable when you're dealing with training videos.
Finally freed from computer
For some reason, the web version of Lynda doesn't allow full screen view - there are always some navigational elements on the screen. In this new version , if you use an iPad and AirPlay , you can finally watch any course in real full screen and do the navigation on the iPad.
Watched a Motion 5 course on my HDTV and it had great resolution. I was repeating what I saw in the screen on my MacBook Air. Suddenly the impact of the courses improved greatly. I see in front of me what to do and can mimic it on my own device.
Before this version, watching Lynda courses on the same device that I use to practice was slowing down my tempo - I had to switch from course to application all the time.
Thank you Lynda. Now go another extra mile and allow downloads of courses to your iPad...
