Not much fun.
The "big-boy" version of Mass Effect is an epic, Star Trek style role-playing game. This is a simple top-down shooter like Berzerk, Venture, or Loaded -- but without much point or fun. The game has awkward pacing, with pages of boring dialog and a tedious "loading" screen every few seconds. Bioware is better than this.
Mass Appeal
This game is really well done and well thought out. The bioware team really knows how to couple compelling gameplay with fantastic storytelling.
Terrible fighting lag
I'm experiencing terrible slowdown when fighting (on a 3G S). Overall the game is fun, though. I love Mass Effect as a franchise and the story is nicely written here. Can't wait for Mass Effect 2!
