Math Explosion Multiplication and Division is a fun way for kids to learn their multiplication and division tables.
You have to learn the facts but why do it the old fashioned flash card way?
There are 5 levels, you have only 60 seconds in which to achieve a high enough score to get to the next level. If you fail the task the dynamite blows up and you have to start again. Watch the fireworks if you are successful. Keep track of your high scores and see if you can beat mom or dad at Math Explosion. The game keeps track of equations that have been answered correctly so only new equations or equations answered incorrectly will be presented.
What's New in Version 2.0
You can now change the colors of the spinner and the keypad to your favorite colors. You can also turn a grunge look off and on. This useful for the older child who is struggling with Math and doesn't want to play a game for younger kids. Go to the settings screen to make the changes.

Making math fun
I recently started volunteer work helping kids do their homework in an after school program. It was troubling to see how children were struggling with their multiplication tables. After searching relevant apps, I downloaded this one. The dynamite and fireworks component makes the endeavor a lot of fun for them. The kids are actually begging for the opportunity to play this "game." For me, this is an ideal situation: making the learning of a dreary skill fun. This is a terrific application. Even if the kids eventually tire of the interface, hard to complain about the money spent and surely some of the children will be better at their times tables having played this game.
