Not what it seems

Notoriously difficult to set up and cumbersome, erratic syncing. I could not get syncing to work via Dropbox with Emac.app at all but did somewhat with Aquamacs. Unfortunately the syncing seems highly unstable. I tried to sync with 2 org files in the same folder. I was able to get only one outline completely synced. After a number of tries the other file's title appeared in Moblie org but that was all. Sometimes after a sync the outline disappears from MobileOrg, while sometimes I can't get the an outline to show at all even if it is the same folder.

Surprisingly this app does not seem to display org outlines at all, in the sense that you can see the structure on one page. It seems designed primarily to display tasks created in them. Overall a missed opportunity to display the outline hierarchal structure. Hopefully the developers will add this to future versions.

Excellent app with easy DropBox sync

Very clever design and implementation. Thanks for your hard work.

Disappointing

Being a die hard emacs user and huge fan of org mode, I was very excited to see this app. That excitement was met with nothing but disappointment after setting it up. Syncing is very buggy. I was never able to get my org-mobile-push's to display in outline view in MobileOrg. Going from iPad to emacs seemed to work fine (org-mobile-pull), but it is extremely cumbersome to use. It also does not pull the changes into your current buffer, but places them in a special inbox.org file.

Also, do not bother trying to use this without first setting up the emacs side. I don't know why it was decided to work this way, and why emacs is even a required part to using this (it seems like it could work on it's own as a note application for iOS, independently of the emacs push / pull aspect, but this is not the case).

Personally I wish this app would just be able to edit org files that are stored in dropbox directly, rather than using a staging area and such. It would have made setup and use much easier.
