Love it
Love service, and the app keeps improving. Missing a few things (playlist creation) that are coming (will get 5 stars then), but it's the best music service - great sound quality, AirPlay, dock connector, best selection, etc. Happy user
Edit: love the new "Just for You" recommendations and now track metadata works properly in my car. Keeps getting better!
So close to perfec5
I have listened to more music, new and old, with this app in one week than the past couple years combined. Did you ever have a friend who had a huge CD collection? Stacks and stacks of music?
This is like asking them if you can borrow as many as you like. It doesn't integrate with iTunes, so you can't combine playlists and will have to stream or download songs you may already own. That's alright though because either delivery method is quick at turning clicks into music. When you realize the sheet volume of songs a available it's just staggering. Did I mention that it also kills other forms of Internet radio. It nails genres and it's rare to have a song that doesn't fit. Better yet the radio does an excellent job at doing what it should. Delivering good new music. It's also great to be able to download any song so if don't have a data plan or access you can listen whenever you want.
My minor gripes with MOG are easy to dispel and could pick up some sweet reviews if they fix 'em. A five star rating is in their future if they can keep it up and deliver things like playlists in the go, and even cloud syncing settings and favorites. For me the playlists is the biggest missing feature. You can have one list of favorites which I use currently for a main playlist and manually que if I want to mix them up. Luckily songs are categorized by album and artist and all your downloads can be listened to this way. If you like kicking back listening to one band at a time this is your fix. Seriously though, who doesn't have playlists? You can import from the pc but I shouldn't have to go sit in front of a computer to organize my music on my phone or iPad.
If I could give it a 4.9 I would, it's that close.
Where are my downloads?
I enjoy MOG. Feel it is a good service however, it is far from perfect. First of all my ipad was fully loaded with music. There was no extra room for anymore downloads. What happened to all these tunes? After this update ALL downloaded music is simply gone! This is inexcusable! In this day and age a programmer should be able to store ones files or provide any method to restore those downloads after a simple update! A lot of time and effort went into dreaming up my downloads! Not cool!
Next, The files don't always play smoothly. It appears MOG's security prevents one to use their own files. Not sure why this element isn't more user friendly. It often goes into cyberspace in the middle of listening to a song....even after allegedly the music is downloaded!
Good assortment, clearly a lot of users and like the high bit rates associated with music. Keep improving .....MOG it is not perfect!
