Beautiful, Massive, and Almost Perfect
After suffering through many of the web app attempts at Solitaire over the past few months, I have to say that Mondo's local app contribution is a welcome breath of fresh air. The UI design, animations, sound cues, and sheer volume of game options make this the Solitaire app to buy, as far as I'm concerned.
Great little bells and whistles become apparent when appropriate: in Klondike, moving a stack of cards from one column to another produces a paperclip that binds the stack together; dragging a card onto another card dims the background, shines a spotlight on the destination, and connects a dotted line to the spotlight from the origin; tap-holding brings up the familiar magnifying glass. It's small touches like these that make this app a standout.
Other commenters have noted its tendency to lag, and while they're correct (at least regarding the app's debut release build), it's not a deal-breaker for me. With enough push-back, I'm sure it'll be addressed in a future update. Other than that minor quibble, I have yet to regret my purchase.
Great Solitaire Game
As I read people's reviews saying that the game is incredibly slow, I wonder how fast they want it to be. This isn't a racing game. To me, the interface, and card moving and animations are a little sluggish, but that's what you can expect from a graphically satisfying game. The slowness in no way limits your control of the cards or anything like that, and it isn't bothersome to me at all. All of the problems can be easily fixed in an update, and an update will most likely come. For what you get, which is over 100 different games, great graphics, and a cool cover flow way to choose a game, this is a very solid choice for solitaire fans, and I would highly recommend it. It will provide me hours of entertainment, and it is well worth the $10.

The sheer number of different games is only matched by the attention to detail. I
especially like the little magnifier doohickey to make it easier to see the cards in
the more complex games.
