Are you serious, EA? You couldn't have done better?

The graphics are great. It would have been nice if EA had at least offered the option of playing the original Monopoly, but I bought this version anyways because I *love* Monopoly.

That being said, here's why I gave it two stars:

Major problem #1: you HAVE to shake your iPhone to roll the dice. This means that there is no subtle way to play the game. People will notice you shaking your phone. You can't opt out of it.

Major problem #2: EVERY time a player passes on a property, there's a mandatory auction. It's absolutely infuriating. That means either you buy it, or your competition will get it for a scandalously low price. (Think 10K for a 1.5M property. It happened in my game.) You can only get it for the low price if the AI lacks the funds to bid on it... miraculously, it never lacks the funds.

The most MAJOR problem of all: I'd seen in some of the reviews that the "random dice" generator was biased towards the AI. I thought "How silly." I continued to think that while playing my first game until... the AI rolled doubles FOURTEEN times in a row, even rolling doubles on a second roll (that's not an exaggeration; I kept count), managed to bypass every property I had houses/hotels on (there were quite a few), while I landed three times on his hotels. Then, I was angry. This game was played on EASY, and the AI was that biased.

This game was such a disappointment for me, I deleted it off my phone after the first game. Poorly done, EA. If you don't mind the AI cheating its little brains out, go ahead and buy it. Aside from the three points mentioned, it's a decent game.

Are you all slow?

Ummm it seems like the stuff most of you complain about (other than classic mode) such as turning off tutorials and the facts on the cards can all be turned off in options...... Doesn't anyone else check options anymore??? Personally that's the first thing I do in every single game. Fantastic version, a classic board would make this game unbeatable!!!!

Not to love?

Dear Electronic Arts
I love Monopoly but prefer it to be the classic version.
I want my Boardwalk, Park Place, Water Works, Electric Company.
I prefer using the Battle Ship, Shoe or Top Hat.
Since I already forked over (gladly) my $7.99 I will anticipate an update to the Classic version too.

Sometimes "change" is not good.
