Description
NEW UPDATE v2.1 is here!
* Fixed minor bug with fast balls going through the rails
* Can select ball size via the difficulty option
-----------------------------------------
Motion Pool combines stunning graphics and real sound with awesome gameplay. This isn't you normal pool game... this one is fun!
There are two control types (really three):
TOUCH CONTROL : Use the touch screen to shoot! The faster you swipe your finger, the faster you shoot!
or
MOTION CONTROL : Use the iPhone/iPod as the cue itself. Hold the device level (or lay it on a table) and move it like a pool cue in the direction you want the cue ball to go. The graphical pointing display shows where you are shooting. When you are warmed up, release your finger to take your final shot! This is a CHALLENGING way to play, and takes some practice! (It is just like that console game system with motion controllers that we can't name!)
or
TILT CONTROL: is another way of playing the MOTION CONTROL MODE. You can aim simply by tilting the device, fine tuning a perfect shot with the graphical pointing display.
Choose 8-ball or 9-ball
Play: 1 Player
2 Player
Against the iPhone itself (computer player)!
Three computer difficulty levels.
The Real Physics Game Engine ensures that your experience is as real as the pool hall down the street, minus the smoke and cougars!

Better than the $4.99 pool/billiards apps!
DumbGames is a true "pool hustler"! I have had this game only 2 weeks, and have out of the blue recieved two very awesome updates. I recieved these while waiting for a critical update that I won't name, but the other app that I paid $4.99 for, (not a dumb games app) still is not fully playable.
You guys have taken the high road while most other developers are taking the low road. If I get some time soon I will be checking out your web site, and getting your games some webtime on Toucharcade etc.
I am giving you 5 stars (sorry bout the previous 2 star rating) hopefully other enerprising upstarts will use Dumbgames' savvy and humble approach and let their "after the sale" practices earn them a loyal customer base.
In closing, this is probably the best $ .99 I have spent since.... well, let's just say in a long while. If the description of this game sounds cool to you then Iyou should Really pick up this awesome title before they get wise and raise the price. Thanks Dumb.

I must be missing something, because Im not liking this game. The balls are too big and slow for one thing. Make the balls roll a little faster, and perhaps change the ability to change the table color. I will keep looking here through the reviews for tips, but it's just not a great set-up in my opinon. Good luck with your updates. :-)
So so
Well I like the single play as well as 8 or 9 ball. don't always want a goal, just wanna knock some balls around. But there are issues too. First there should never be graphics on a pool table, it's too tacky. Solid green ok, or also add red velvet as a choice. That would rock. Also balls tend to disappear near the rails sometimes. Might be a glitch. I'm sure you guys are gonna fix that one. But here is a suggestion I hope you concider. Overhaul the touch controls. Set a guide line and make it work like this, slide your finger around to decide your shot. Tap to lock the position. Double tap to unlock and allow you to move the guide line around again. Make the line red when it's locked and green when it's able to be moved. Then to shoot keep the same idea you have now, the faster you swipe the harder you shoot. This would give you precise aiming ability and the fun of the current touch control. Because I can get the power I want to shoot with now, but not the accuracy. And as a guy I have big fingers and I'm sure many of the people who would play this would say the same. I'm glad to see how quick you listen to people and work to make this better. I hope you take my idea seriously. It's based on the yahoo chat pool game. That guideline would compliment the touch controls giving us accuracy and control over the power of the shot. One other thing, need to be able to turn off the screen that tells you it's your shot. Drives me nuts. All I need is a tiny player 1/2 in the corner to tell me who's turn it is. Thanks for the update it's better now. Just please concider what I suggested, it could make or break this game. And with the next update I will update my review. Thanks.
