Fatally flawed design

This app seems optimized for beautiful screenshots rather than user experience.

There is no way to edit an entry; the only options are to erase all entries for today or all entries ever. Mistakes really screw with the shapes on the fancy history graphs and interfere with interpreting patterns, which is the whole point of this app. Since you can't erase yesterday's data without erasing everything, backfilling data compromises your whole dataset. Due to some additional design flaws, input errors are incredibly easy to make.

The screen for setting the time of the entry is irritating. The dials you spin to set the time will reset if it doesn't like the time that comes up, I presume so that you can't set it to a future time, but I've seen it reset when the time was in the past, too. I've spent 20 or 30 seconds just trying to set the right time. For a better user experience, there could just be an error alert if you try to set to a past time. Plus, the "ok" button is hidden up in a corner, while the "reset to current time" button is the big brightly colored button right under the dial, a button design you instinctively press, so you have to wrestle with the dials again. This may not sound like that big a deal, but it all results in a high probability of sometime making a mistake while entering past data, which again, you cannot erase without losing everything you've ever input.

There are line charts for mood, stress, and pain, but there is no "0" on the scale, and the line charts go from point to point, so you've got to input a lot of "1" entries in order to indicate no stress or pain for any time period, which is unintuitive. I don't really have chronic pain, but I do get migraines and some pretty bad digestive flare-ups, which I'm sure affect my mood, but I think of those as events, not something to measure everyday.

It would be easy enough to add other trackable factors like irritability and anxiety (other tracker apps that I actually like let you do this), but it's not possible here.

There are times where you feel lost, too. Drugs are labelled "stimulants and depressants" in the log menu but just "depressants" on the input page. It asks "do you have anymore depressants to add?" when you are trying to log caffeine. It's quite confusing.

There is also no "ok" or "enter" button when making entries. You just click on another page and you can see your entry on the history chart. There is a "new entry" button, but every time I've tried to use it, I end up with duplicate entries, which again, can't be erased without losing a lot more than that one entry.

It's very important that a mood tracker be simple and intuitive so that it's easy to make entries and you'll keep up with it. This app fails at that.

I really regret buying it. I'll keep trying to use it since I paid so much for it, but I suggest you look for something else.

Ok, but not great.

Needs work on user interface.

Excellent Highly Recommended

Its only gotten better with each upgrade!(Reviews saying about erasing it all or none are INACCURATE!! I am super tech compromised and find this a a breeze to use)

This has become one of my TOP FIVE APPS out of over 800 I've downloaded. At first I used it mostly for mood. Then I got pneumonia and found it invaluable for tracking medications-better than those created for that purpose. it's simple effective informative. Kudos!! When I have the time to "do it all," the graphs and notes etc provide a wonderful, very helpful overview of my whole picture-at one glance or focusing in on details. Very versatile. EXCELLENT customer support. LOVE IT!

Am sure you will too!
