Extremely unhappy with v2 removing lifetime updates
When purchasing this app (for a very hefty sum), the description offered free lifetime updates; this seems to no longer apply, as we are now requested to pay yet another hefty sum merely to receive what was originally promised.
This move smells suspiciously like something Garmin may have forced after acquiring Navigon, and I'll be sure to avoid products labeled with either brand in the future.
Not what I paid for
I bought this app for a ridiculous amount because it promised lifetime map updates. Now, short time later, I need to pay for map updates again???
Don't get this app! Just a matter of time before they screw you over, too! Don't let brand names fool you. Plenty of equally good alternatives.
Navigon Lifetime Map Updates and App Store
Like everyone else, I originally bought this as it was clearly stated that it will have lifetime map updates.
Here with this release, we see that this has changed!
If the policy changes, it should not affect the buyers who bought this product prior to the policy change!
I think that Apple should act on this as it's their channel this product is sold from and they should support their loyal customers.
If Apple lets this go, I am afraid it will add unclarity to the content they offer.
