Very Frustrating
I tried to kill 45 minutes watching "Awake" which is not a really great show but is ok enough to watch. I have to watch two commercials before the show starts, two commercials 1/5 of the way through two more commercials at 2/5ths (two of the same three commercials every time btw)and then at the half and then it starts the show over for no reason. I try to slide along the progress bar to where it stopped (two more commercials) it plays for about half a scene and stopped again. I wait patiently for several minutes; nothing happens so I close and restart the app. That's two more commercials and the show has started at the beginning again. Try to find where I left off again (two more commercials) get close enough though I missed a scene and then My thumb accidentally touches the screen. The show stops and now I get to start over....again.....after two more commercials.
I realize that NBC depends on advertisement but at some point I would like to actually watch a show. And that means this thing has to stop crashing/screwing up and stop taking me back to the same three commercials every time it does. They promise to have more fixes soon, which I hope happens because right now this app is too frustrating to be useful.
Good App
Hurray, adding a full-screen mode is a welcome improvement.
NBC is to be applauded for releasing this app. I wish all the TV networks did the same, giving us mobile access to full episodes of shows.
Close caption
There is no close caption on NBC which I hope someday they will update to add close caption. ABC player and ABC Family update the close caption which I m very happy with them. NBC still not updated the closed caption. When will upgrade to add closed caption????
