Notebook is a powerful tool which gives you access to your notes anywhere. Use Notebook by itself or synchronize your notes to the web using Toodledo.com, a free online service for notes and tasks. Capture your thoughts and ideas anywhere, categorize them, and synchronize them for safe keeping. Later on, you can browse by Notebook or search all notes by entering key words in the search field.
Unlike other note taking applications available on the iPhone, Notebook does not require an Internet connection to create, modify, or access your notes. You can take notes, capture thoughts, and even modify existing notes at any time or any place. When you've got an Internet connection again, simply synchronize your changes and update your iPhone with any changes made on the web.
Do you have notes for your eyes only? Mark a note as a private note and protect it with a passcode. This feature is very handy for gift lists and other sensitive data and gives you peace of mind when you let someone borrow your iPhone/iPod touch temporarily.
Notebook also integrates with Appigo Todo™, a popular task management app for the iPhone. Use the share button to create a new Todo task directly from your note in a matter of seconds. If your Todo tasks have important notes in them, import them directly into Notebook for later reference.
Additionally, share your notes with others by sending a note directly in an email. Other Notebook users can import notes from these emails into their copy of Notebook.

No desktop access to notes
Only access to your notes outside of the iPhone is via a Web site. No sync or edit via the desktop is available.
Beware deletion of notebooks (categories)
This is a hard problem to explain, but it's very real.
Appigo's Todo.app, Notebook.app and Toodledo all share a single set of folders (categories). So if you remove a category called "work" from Notebook, where it might be empty, you'll remove it from Todo.app. Not right away though.
The sequence is
1. Remove category from Notebook.
2. Sync Notebook to Toodledo. In Toodledo any notes OR TASKS in that category are assigned to no category.
3. Sync Todo. app with Toodledo. Now the Tasks assigned to the removed category are assigned to the "inbox".
One day, not knowing of this bug. I removed "empty" categories from tasks and notes. I ended up with hundreds of notes and tasks with no category -- all reassigned to the "inbox".
Appigo knows of the bug, but they're not warning their customers.
The Notepad Apple Should have Included with iPhone
I love this app! It adds a key feature to iPhone that has been missing since the original release: The ability to add long text notes to iPhone from my regular computer, manage them and sync them. Just like the built in "Notes" app, you can email notes to people, but when you combine this app with the free service at Toodledo.com, you can also back up your notes and access them with a full size keyboard!
The main feature that is missing is the ability to define clickable hyperlinks in notes. This actually looks like it might be pretty tough to implement, but I classify it as a "nice to have," not a "must have." Some basic formatting capability (bullets, bold, etc) would be nice too, but once again, those are not features one would normally expect in a plain text notepad implementation.
The ability to sync notes, organize them into folders and share them makes this application WELL worth the paltry $5.00!
