An poor app for what could be a great product

How can a company selling a very expensive floor heating thermostat come up with such limited app that does not offer the features to control your floor heating?
I could not find a way to create or modify a schedule or program except changing the temperatures fora specific time.
It would be much better to have a representation of your thermostat and all controls at your fingertips.
When you charge so much for a thermostat, you owe your customers an App that supports it appropriately.

Disappointing and abysmal

The app doesn’t do much. It’s hard to use and the UI is from the 1990s. If I had to guess, the engineers designed it - they were too cheap to hire a PM or a UX designer. You cannot rename thermostats. You cannot intuitively set them up. You cannot copy a program to the same thermostat. “Energy use” feature is garbage - there’s no way to tell how many actual KWH it’s using let alone what it’s costing. Only tells you when it was on by the hour. This is basic stuff and it fails.

The only thing that’s worse is the thermostat itself. You can’t turn it off (at all) and the only way to turn it to vacation mode is to use the app. So Nuheat is 0 for 2 on software. I hope they read some of these reviews and hire a competent team to fix it.

It just doesn’t work, and is borderline dangerous

The app has trouble connecting to the thermostat but even when it says it’s connected it’s not actually communicating. If all of that wasn’t bad enough, it’ll pretend like the change you made has been received when it actually hasn’t been. In my case I’m simply trying to enable and disable “away mode”. Often it looks like the change has been made to the thermostat and I only realize later (sometimes days later) that the change wasn’t received. This can be costly, both with energy bills and even with safety in some circumstances. I feel like it’s borderline negligence for the app to even be published to the App Store with these issues. Thermostat controls need to be reliable.
