The NYTimes app for iPhone is now available within the Newsstand folder on iOS 5 for ease of access and automatic early morning content updates.
Your subscription options:

• All Digital Access (including the NYTimes app for iPhone and iPad, plus unlimited access to NYTimes.com) for $34.99 per month.
Your subscription will automatically renew each month and your credit card will be charged through your iTunes account. You can turn off auto-renew at any time from your iTunes account settings.

Finally got it right
It's always been a pain to be sure the App was updated with the latest news before I got on the subway, now it's perfect. Updates are much much faster and there's a simple progress indicator. Wonderful.
