Description
Orfeo is a chromatic pitchpipe and metronome for the iPhone/iPod Touch. It plays four octaves of pitches from C2 to C6 and gives you a choice of sounds. To change the sounding pitch, simply drag the note up or down the staff. The pitch standard for A4 is adjustable and includes pitch standards for early music performance as well as a range around A440.
Orefeo's metronome gives the standard range of metronome marks plus an extended slow range down to 10 bpm. It includes a visual display, the ability to set the rate by tapping a choice of standard MM or arbitrary bpm and a choice of emphasis.
Orfeo is localized for English and Japanese. Some iPhones seem to prefer Japanese over English when they are set for another language such as German or French. If Orfeo starts in Japanese and you want English:
1) Set the phone's language to English.
2) When it is finished, set the language back to your desired language.
What's New in Version 1.2
Version 1.2 adds Japanese localization. It also adds pitch standards of A=444, 445, 446, 447, 448 for our friends in Vienna.

Orfeo
This program is great, I don't necessarily regret spending the $10. However I can't use this metronome while playing drums because there is no volume control. Other than that, it is a great program. ***please come out with a volume control update!!**
I use it a lot...
As a music educator, I use this all the time. If they would integrate a true chromatic tuner, I'd gladly pay much more. As is it is useful as a pitch pipe with a headphone for tuning purposes. The update goes up to 304 bpm and provides ability to go beyond standard metronome markings to those "in-between" tempi. Add a true chromatic tuner and this would be a true "killer app."

Works well and provides most everything you need. Small price for a metronome and tuner you can keep with you anytime.
