Customer Reviews
Interesting enough to try, but just OK.
I usually don't buy applications that don't have reviews, but I decided to try this one on a whim. I give the developers credit for a neat idea, but it just doesn't cut it as far as user interaction is concerned. The movement of the tanks and the firing of the canon are intuitive, however, they not very responsive. The scrolling around the map is downright annoying. The ability to zoom or unzoom the map would go a long way here. I felt pretty blind trying to navigate the tank in the closeup view it provides.
In this time of post SDK 3.0, I was expecting the 2 player mode to use WiFi or Bluetooth. Not the case. Each player gets three tanks and take turns on the same device. Pretty lame if you ask me.
Hopefully, they will address these limitations in an update based on some good feedback.
Has potential
It's like paintball with tanks. Pretty cool idea. But moving around the screen is frustrating and moving and shooting are too similar.
More fun after the update
There are waves of enemy red tanks, which have to be destroyed. That's it, simple but fun. :-) The 2-player mode is a hotseat mode, so only one device is needed. But it is surprisingly tactical with hiding behind barricades or controlling the field for collecting special bonuses. The graphics are great, I really love the pen&paper style.
