With Perfect Guitar Song Book you always have your collection of guitar songs with you. You can easily transfer songs from the computer or get them from the Internet and organize them in lists. Aditionally, the app comes up with Shake2Scroll, a completely new scrolling experience.
Features:
► Chord Pro Songs ◄
Songs may be entered or copied from the Internet as plain text or in Chord Pro format. If plain text is entered, PerfectGuitarSongBook automatically converts the song to Chord Pro format.
► File Sharing ◄
You can transfer songs from your computer to the device or open them from any other app featuring the "Open in"-Dialog.
► Play to your favorite song ◄
Link a song from your iPod song library and play it later with only one tap.
► Innovation: Shake2Scroll ◄
No song fits on one page.
How can you scroll without using your hands?
Shake2Scroll is a feature, where the table on which your device lies on is turned into a foot pedal. You just have to touch the table with your foot to scroll.
Thanks to the precision of the iPhone/iPod/iPad's sensors, even the slightest touch is enough. We just want you to have both hands free for the most important: your music.
► Various exporting possibitities ◄
Print your songs, send them as PDF or Chord Pro file or open them as PDF on your device to export them to any app that can open PDF files.
► TV-Out ◄
PerfectGuitarSongBook can display songs on TVs or other external displays, so that even your friends don‘t miss out. (appropriate cable is needed)
► Transposing, Formatting ◄
Transpose your songs with only a few taps or format them with some so-called Chord Pro directives.
The age limit is prescribed by Apple for apps that contain web browsers.
The app itself does not contain any critical contents.

My favorite tab tool
Other apps have tabs but none have the ability to change the tabs yourself. There have been so many times when I find a tab online but disagree with one or two chords. Now I can change the tab so it's perfect. Importing tabs from websites is super easy and editing them can be as painless or involved as you want. I'm a perfectionist so I love that I can go into it and define the chorus of the song and the exact place where the chords match the lyrics. The other thing I love about it is that I can finally play along live with a tab. There have been so many times when I play and sing along with a tab and then the tab stops after the first chorus and says "repeat chord pattern for the rest of the song". Now I can make sure that I have the COMPLETE song and lyrics for when I'm playing live. One of my favorite features is being able to tap the table where your iPad is sitting to scroll the song. I would love to see the ability to customize how many lines the app scrolls and the speed at which it scrolls, however. Sometimes it catches me off guard when it skips so quickly and can be a bit disorienting. Nevertheless, this app is the best alternative I've found to having to stop playing to scroll. I do believe future updates may make this app perfect. For now I give it four stars because it is a great concept and if it were to implement some of the things I outlined above as well as suggestions from others I would give it five stars. This app is definitely worth the price. Especially considering that other apps charge a monthly fee for tabs.
Generally like upgrades, but v1.2 comes with an irritating bug/flaw
I just upgraded to v1.2 and am generally happy with the new features, BUT v1.2 HAS AN IRRITATING BUG that was not in v1.1. Whenever I try to insert a close bracket (" ] ") around a chord designation, the close bracket always jumps to the end of all text in the song and never allows me to close a bracket around the chord. I was panicked at first, wishing I could revert back to v1.1, just so I could create a song. I had to create a work-around just to use v 1.2 at all. I now have to (first) type a complete bracket set (" [] ") at the end of the song. Then I (second) have copy that bracket set, so that I can (third) paste it at the location where I want t insert a chord. I then (fourth) have to type the name of the chord between the bracket set that I pasted in place. This is very irritating and time consuming. It seems to be a QC problem that should have been caught. Please fix with an upgade soon!! I really do like PG Songbook. It allows very quick access to 100s of songs in an instant without carrying volumes of paper tabs. Please fix this minor, but irritating flaw, to make a very good app a "perfect" guitar app, as its name suggests.
ADDENDUM - I am supplementing my review to say how fantastic i have found this this app after using it for a whole. The problem I note above needs to be fixed but it is not a big problem using the work-around I describe. I love being able to email band members a PDF of the tab sheets I create....wonderful and very handy!! One additional suggestion would be the capability to email playlists (just name of song and key would probably be enough). I now create playlists on PG song book, but still have to type out the playlists in an email or word doc to the band members. It would be great to create the playlists on PG song book and then have pg songbook create a PDF that I could then send out to the band straight from my iPad.
Thanks for a great app!!!!
