You have to see it to believe it.
If you (the parent) are familiar with Phonics, you will immediately appreciate the way the app teaches phonics.
Alphabet section: introduces the phonetic sound of each alphabet and builds the foundation.
Words section: teaches the child how to sound out a word to spell it. It presents words from common word families and says out the phonetic sound of each letter when building the word.
Correct answer would make the alphabet/word dance to fun music.
Learning was never so fun!

3 year old gives it 2 thumbs up!
My daughter loves this app. She enjoys being able to spell out words phonetically. She recently learned the letter sounds and this app takes that knowledge to a new level for her. It has a simple and intuitive interface for a small child. Maybe the graphics could be improved and the icon definitely needs changed to something way more fun, but overall we love this simple little app. LOVE IT!
Be careful with this one!
The voice is weak and not discernable. That is sort of important when learning phonetics.
Just a thought.
Such Potential....
My 3 year old really likes this one, but I wish I could say that he's learning from it. The sound quality is insufficient to actually understand which letter has been said. If you get the free version, which has A through E, it seems sufficient, but in the full version, the deficiencies become apparent, as E and U are almost indistinguishable, along withF, V and W and several other sets. My son comes to me for help, and we're both reduced to guessing. The voice sounds like it has been computer generated rather than real samples. I suspect that is because the author has English as a second language, and is worried that his/her accent would get negative feedback. Another clue for is the harmless gaff of using the word"alphabets" where "letters" would be more appropriate.
I hope the author corrects this, because a simple update with real sampled human voices would turn this one star app into a five star app. As I said, my son already loves it, but I doubt he is learning useful phonics from it.
