This app is a phenomenal app it is one of the best photography apps on the market. How ever it crashes waaaay too much and has a lot of lag issues. And one of the main selling points for me was in the description you note that it is real time rendering effects and I have found that not to be the case. Not sure if this is because I'm on the new iPad but even if it is why this can be easily fixed through an update and you really need to do so
Powerful but complicated
Try FX Photo Studio instead. It's much easier to use and you can see what effects will look like without having to go into each item.
The one thing that is unique about Photoforge is the layers. Professionals will like this. Normal folks will prefer FX Photo Studio.
