• You cannot sync existing Lightroom photos to the iPad in this version.

What's New in Version 1.14
Looks like lucky number 13 got the best of us. There were still a few crashes left around...
1.14 is all about memory optimization (the leading cause of crashes, RAW files are really big after all). iPad 1 owners rejoice!
* Changed how collection are synced to reduce memory usage
* Faster startup while auto-importing photos
* Specific memory tuning for RW2 files
* Greatly reduced memory use while reading EXIF from JPGs
* Fixed small memory leak in Drag-n-Drop

Customer Reviews
Very responsive to users
I have used Photosmith for the past several months; in fact, it was one of the applications that prompted me to get an iPad in the first place. It has allowed me to travel much more lightly by using the iPad instead of a laptop computer to cull the photos from each trip from several hundred down to the 50-100 keepers that are then synchronized / transferred to Lightroom where RAW conversion and post-processing occur. When the upgrade to iOS 5 disrupted the ability of Photosmith to handle the files from my camera properly, all it took was an email to the developers and some sample files (18 megapixel Leica M9 files) for them to develop a fix. The above workflow is what I needed and what the application had promised in its catalog description.
