Photosynth for iOS is the panorama creation app that makes it easy and fun to capture and share interactive panoramas of the places, people, and events that are important to you. Using the latest in computer vision techniques, you can not only make a panorama from left to right, but also up and down, enabling you to capture a full “sphere”.
Once you’ve created a Photosynth you can share it as an interactive panorama experience to Twitter as well as Facebook (using the free Photosynth.net service) or as a simple image. You can also publish your panoramas to Bing Maps where millions of people will see your panoramas, both on the map itself and in search results for the places you've captured. Amazing - BUT NEEDS HIGHER RES!!
This technology is amazing and I'm not sure why it's free... The only drawback is the low quality images it renders compared to what the iphone4/4s can do... I'm not sure why te files are kept so small - you can't zoom in on any of the shots because the quality isn't there... But the 5 stars is for the technology and ease of use to make this 4D picture. I love the navigation and sharing features. I hope Microsoft releases an upgrade allowing for higher resolution photos... I'd like some zoom to make this perfect. I'd even pay some money for such an update... Maybe a "pro" version or something.
