NOTE: If you experience no sounds, the iPad's volume is likely muted. First try to just flip the rotation lock, which could be used a mute switch. It's located above the volume buttons, flip it up and you should have sound now. If it still doesn't work, double click the "Home button", and go all the way to the left to find the volume icon. If it has a strike over it, it's muted. Just click the icon and there should be sound. If there is sound but the volume buttons doesn't adjust the volume, just get the latest updated version. Or in previous versions (4.3 and before) this can be fixed by adjusting the iPad settings. Go to the iPad's settings app, find General -> Sounds, and set "Change with Buttons" to on. The volume should now be adjustable by the hardware buttons. The above worked for most users, please do send us an email if the above solution didn't help.

When the game starts, Piano Tutor will display some random notes on the piano sheet. Simply try to play the note as fast as you can! When the game is over, you will see on average how long it takes for you to recognize the correct note.

Great learning tool
I've been lacking in my sight reading skills, and being to learn visually with a timer and instant feedback is really helping.
Great for travel...
I use this app mostly when traveling as an alternative to (beginner level) practicing, but it is also perfect for learning to quickly recognize notes.
I have also found the developer team very responsive to user issues which is much appreciated!
Great but....
This is a great app, I use it daily.. I just wish part of the games it has would be songs to practice. Like don't get me wrong the app gives you random notes to play but would be better to play songs because you can practice fingering.
Another great feature is the ability to hook up a keyboard, digital piano to the app. Way to go
Please add songs I wouldn't mind paying 99 cents for song complete nice songs
