A subscription is NOT required. Content (the FAA regulations) may be purchased from within the app as a 1-time download OR as an auto-renewing 12-month subscription. Subscribers receive monthly updates to the FARs via a quick content download. Subscription payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of renewal is the original purchase price of your subscription. I stand corrected!!
I was just contacted by the developer of this app informing me that anyone who bought the original PilotAIM and PilotFAR apps gets upgraded 4 times a year for free, forever. This is great news and I was totally unaware! Thanks for the e-mail contact!! I love the apps and I've been using them since mid-2009.
How the Far/Aim should be
This user friendly app Makes searching and reading the Far/aim enjoyable. The search feature is awesome and your bookmarks and highlighted sections can be saved on your Dropbox account. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a digital version of pilot law. This is much easier than searching the FAA website for this information. A must have for the professional.
Awesome app - terrific support
This app is great on both iPhone and iPad .. find it very helpful to review the obscure situations that happen from time-to-time in the real world. I fly professionally and am extremely satisified with this one.
I did have a problem with my iPad not updating - emailed support and had a conversation going in the matter of a few hours (on a weekend!) - problem was resolved very quickly. In fact, they sent me a customized hyperlink so I really didn't have to do anything more complex than open the email and tap the link.
