Pilot your Platypus in the squishiest shoot-em-up ever! Based on the cult Mac classic from Idigicon, Platypus is a fast, fun side-scrolling arcade shooter with a unique difference – every tree, cloud, ship, and enemy was created from modeling clay - so explosions don’t bang, they splat!
Defend peaceful Mungola from the invading Collosatropolans using only your trusty F-27 Platypus fighter plane. Shoot down the enemy ships, and collect fruit bonuses and a range of weapon power-ups to aid you in your quest!
Control your Platypus using accelerometer-based tilt, or guide your ship with your finger across 4 massive clay areas each with several challenging levels.
Platypus has a fantastic music soundtrack which is inspired by classic Commodore 64 games, and will save your progress automatically when you exit.

Excellent
It is if nothing else a remake of an old arcade shooter. The concept is quite simple and very fun. Go through five levels blasting ships and collecting fruit all the while racking up points and earning lives. The game can get quite challenging but can be completed in about two-four hours depending on skill level and lives lost. I never had any problems with crashing or even lag or bugs. It is overall a great remake of a pc classic and I think deserves to be on everyone's "favorite apps" page.
A great game. One of the few I broke my $2 limit for.
I usually won't spend more than 2 bucks on a game, but these guys got me. Great game! I played it all the way through more than once. The concept, graphics, and music are excellent. Highly recommended.
