Description

PlayThatNote was created for people like me who sing (or like to think they can) but never really learned to read music properly. I know what all the symbols mean, but in the heat of a rehearsal I struggle to work out which note I should really be singing, which means a regular pitch pipe is no use!

PlayThatNote solves the problem. Simply set the Key Signature of the music you are reading (use the i key to confirm the actual Key Signature), set an Accidental (sharp, flat or natural) if required, and then touch on right side of the stave, and the note will be played using a high-quality piano sound.

That’s all there is to it!

Great for choir singers

I searched through all 37 (or was it 47?) pages of music apps to find this ONE. For someone like me that has instrumental music training but now sings, it is VERY helpful to have something that can help me hit the right note (and not have to ask the accompanist every 5 minutes!). I agree with some of the other comments that having some sort of "repeat" button would be great so that I can hear the same note several times instead of "fat fingering" some other note. But with that said, this is a great app if you want to know things like "what is E on the bass clef sound like"? My thanks to the developer for writing the program.

Amazing but...

It's very great for people in music classes such as choir. Just hoping that u can put more than one note at once and play them from there . Also that base and treble clef should be seperated. Other than that , it is quite amazing

Just the app. I was looking for.

I had a hard time finding one, but found this app. to be exactly what I was searching for. I sing in the church choir, but do not play piano or other musical instrument. I was looking for an app. that would help me physically hear a note I may not be able to hear in my head. This app. is perfect for that. The music staff is pictured right on the screen in both treble and bass clefs. Setting the key signature is also an option. Just set the key signature (up arrow for sharps, down arrow for flats), then touch the screen where the note is you wish to hear. Did I mention you can do this listening quietly through your bluetooth headset. No bothering others around you. Now how cool is that? This is a simple and easy app to use. It's great. I love it.
