Prepare to Qualify! Race to the finish line in this enhanced and upgraded version of Namco’s classic arcade racer, Pole Position: Remix, specially tuned for the iPhone! Take to the road with three different intuitive control setups for drivers of all types! Tilt the iPhone to maneuver your car through challenging high speed race tracks in Tilt Steering Mode. Take control of the on-screen steering wheel and spin it to fly through harrowing hairpin turns. Or touch the slider mechanism to avoid hitting cars, billboards and obstacles! Points are awarded for the distance you travel and for each enemy car you pass. Blow by the competition to unlock additional tracks, cars, billboards and graphical themes based on Namco hit games.
We recommend that you update your device to the latest iOS version before playing. We also recommend that you close the game before downloading the update. To do so, double-tap the home button to display the recent apps bar. Press and hold the Namco application icon until a red minus appears, then tap the minus sign to close the application.

Every bit the Pole Position we remember
Pole Position. What can be said that hasn't already been before? You versus the clock and a huge pack of competitive racers in a very unforgiving environment built directly for the quarter-munching world of the arcade games. This being what it is, it's very easy to learn but hard to master, but the customizable controls, both touch and tilt, are up to the task. The updated look and feel bring Pole Position into the 21st century, there are hardly any load times, and outside of (or maybe as a result of) the game's crushing difficulty, it's loads of fun. Recommended.
Five stars for bringing back some memories
I am a forty-something who lived on this game in the arcades back in the day! Just downloaded and qualified and did one race, but so far....fantastic!
