Does not work!!!
Free app is nice...$60 phone case...yeah OK I get that but once I got it and it did not work I contacted PowerA and only then was notified that the unit will not work to control most satellite and cable tv controllers that operate at higher IR frequencies. Now no email responses from them and I am out my money. Another case of techno crap with zero accountability for their product. It might work for some things but don't let them fool you with "universal remote" BS!!!
Awesome
I never thought this app would get any better. The guide is convenient instead of switching between a separate guide app now I can just delete it.
Shortcomings
Beware that the app and IR hardware do not support many common A/V components such as Scientific Atlanta cable box. Worse yet, the app will not learn from this and other IR remotes rendering the app useless.
