INCLUDED VOICES: The current version includes North American English male, female, girl and boy voices. These can be swapped at no costs for British male and female voices or an Indian English female voice that can be downloaded through WiFi by Proloquo2Go. What's New in Version 1.7.2
Version 1.7.2 is a bug fix release addressing a number of problems that were encountered with the major 1.7 update. Based on feedback from the Proloquo2Go user community, version 1.7.2 also brings back two experimental features that had been removed in version 1.7.
The most important changes in version 1.7.2 are:
- The "Adjust # of Columns" experimental feature that was removed in version 1.7 has been reinstated and can be used to show more columns when the device is used in landscape compared to when it is used in portrait orientation.
- The "Try to Fill Screen" experimental feature that was removed in version 1.7 has been reinstated and can be used to make some categories with few buttons have larger buttons to fill most of the screen.
- A bug that could cause items to randomly moved in some categories has been fixed.
- A rare bug that could cause the app to freeze with a white screen after launching the app has been fixed.
- If all views but the grid or list view have been restricted only a home button will appear in the bottom toolbar.
- The prediction button size for the typing view can now be set completely independently from the item size settings.
- Several rare crashing conditions were resolved
In all, version 1.7.2 contains 30 improvements and fixes.
For reference, here are the changes that were provided by version 1.7:
- The message window is now resizable, supporting a larger backspace button
- The navigation bar is now resizable, supporting a larger back button
- The space between items can now be adjusted
- All Settings are now consolidated into the Option View
- Options view can now be password protected
- Changes to Appearance settings are now live-updated on iPad
- Additional voices can now be downloaded in the background
- Auto-spacing now handles punctuation better
- Numerous small enhancements and fixes

Waited for a long time...
Several years ago, my husband and I saw communication. Unfortunately, they started at one thousand dollars. Plus we couldn't find info on what they did really. What a discovery this has been! Not only did we find info, but tutorials on how to use the app! And the information was free!
He's had it for several months now. The updates are always great. Customer service gets back to you very quickly.
He flies through his screens and tells us what he wants. He can also tell us if he feels sick. Couldn't do that before. What a life changer!
Amazing…and response to some negative comments
I'm trying to figure out how the average is only 4 stars, so started looking through the reviews. I can't find one negative post that I even remotely agree with. I know things are relative, I just wanted to make sure people knew that the customer service is beyond amazing and I've used it many, many times. The app is a bit complicated, but you have all the tools you need to help you figure it out, for free on their website and with podcasts, plus an amazing manual! Any app that does this much has to be a bit complicated, no way around that! My daughter used a Dynavox V for many years. We had so many more problems with this. She communicated so well with it, but it was her ONLY voice and it died on us several times…so no voice until it's fixed, a nightmare! Then, oh boy, the warranty ran out, $1,000 to fix it once when my daughter dropped it about 2 feet on the floor only carpet..totally died! Warranty was going to cost us $535/yr! Now, we have her voice, Proloquo2Go on multiple devices and I don't have to lie awake at night stressing about this! Compared to her Dynavox, this was not hard to figure out. It does everything my daughter used her Dynavox for. So, just wanted to make sure people reading the reviews aren't turned off by someone saying customer service wasn't any good or saying it was too complicated or didn't do what it said…in my book, those things are just not true!:)
Life changing
My brother with down syndrome never ever talked. With this every time he needs to talk to use he uses this amazing ap. after only 2 weeks he has already said a sentence. Also this is helping him understand yes and no more, go to bed easier, and use the restroom. I can also put in my own words I would like him to know, like the pets and family(before he called every girl mama and boy daddy,now he is going by their names) this ap is amazing.its life changing. I've always wanted to hear him talk.
