Description

PuzzleManiak is a collection of 20 puzzle games: Sudoku, Pattern (Picross like), Bridges, Dominosa, Filling, Galaxies, Loopy, LightUp, Mines, Net, Rectangles, Slant, Tents, Unequal, Untangle, Blackbox, SameGame, Pegs, Mastermind and Map.

All games are generated on-the-fly with a unique solution, thus you’ll never play the same puzzle twice.

All games offer multiple levels from easy to hard.

Statistics are maintained for each game, and each level of difficulty.

For each game, a daily web challenge is available: in this mode, everyday, players from around the world can play the same puzzle and compare their scores with other players.

There is also a 'special web challenge' in which all players play a unique puzzle game, but without knowing which one it is before starting it.

New online game mode: "Players challenges". After any (local) game, you can submit it to the website, so that every other players can play it and so you can compare your scores to other ones.

A ranking is available on the website for this "Players challenges" mode.

Current puzzle is always saved when exiting, so you can resume it later, whenever you wish.

10 best scores of each game are saved locally.

New: Graphic themes are now available.

Enjoy!

Great app with some problems

The puzzles are great, there's only three that I don't enjoy playing daily. I've gotten countless hours of enjoyment for my 99 cents.

The instructions leave a lot to be desired. I've had to play some of the games several times with using the "solve" button to understand what the point was, and I still can't remember which of the yellow or white dots means a color is in the right position in the memory game. A wiki with better instructions and solving hints would be nice.

The main problem I have is that taking a call or exiting the app erases my progress. Some of the difficult puzzles can take me upwards of 20 minutes to complete and taking a call returns me to the main menu and a new blank puzzle appears when I select one. If it weren't for this I would give it 5 stars.

The only logic/puzzle app you will ever need!

This game already had a ton of content for $4.99

20 games, infinate randomly-generated puzzles and online challenges. This game replaced three other puzzle games from my iPod Touch, as they're all in here. (Minesweeper, Mastermind & Picross to be specific.)

Now it looks great and plays even better!

Well, I can see why some people don't like the graphics overhaul, visibility from black on white to white on translucent green is a bit different. People complaining about how hard the menu is to use now aren't using their brains! It went from a scrolling list to icons, most of which are a shot of gameplay. The icons are in alphabetical order, and if you click once on them you get it's name and stats up at the top, click again to start it.

Also, I haven't been able to spot any of the bugs, I play this one daily and haven't had any of the problems mentioned in the iTunes reviews. I keep seeing "two games are unplayable" and the only one identified with details is Pattern. I just played 6 games of pattern with varying settings for the hell of it, and did not see numbers out of alignment or the game not recognizing a completed game... The one thing I did see was that if you complete a game and leave to the menu, when you come back it will give you the "completed" bit again...

Terrible!

Terrible! The directions are confusing. And the controls are bad...it's hard to drag things together or link them up. I usually like puzzles, but this was frustrating between the weird directions and inability to properly mark/move/connect things. What a waste!
